Erodium moschatum, also known as musky grouse, is a herbaceous plant of the Geraniaceae family, native to the Mediterranean region. It has several uses, both in folk medicine and in cooking and gardening.

Medicinal uses:

• Astringent and anti-inflammatory properties: In folk medicine, the plant is used to treat diarrhea, dysentery, mouth and throat inflammations, and bleeding.

• Healing: The leaves and roots are used to prepare poultices and ointments to treat wounds, cuts, and burns.

• Antiseptic: The plant has antiseptic properties, helping to prevent infections.

• Diuretic: Tea made from the leaves is used as a natural diuretic.
