The *Raízes da Terra* (Roots of the Earth) Social Project was created with the aim of bringing people, communities, and nature closer together through educational, social, environmental, and cultural initiatives. The proposal seeks to strengthen ties to the land, value traditional knowledge, and foster new ways of understanding the importance of environmental preservation, sustainability, and quality of life.

The project is founded on the principle that roots represent our history, our identity, and our connection to the land. Just as a tree needs strong roots to grow, a community needs knowledge, opportunities, participation, and cooperation to build a fairer and more sustainable future.

*Raízes da Terra* may develop activities focused on environmental education, plant cultivation, knowledge of native and medicinal species, community gardens, hands-on workshops, sustainability education, material repurposing, handicrafts, culture, healthy eating, and the appreciation of natural resources.

These initiatives may involve children, adolescents, young people, adults, families, educators, the elderly, and various community groups, allowing knowledge to be shared across generations. Collective participation strengthens the sense of belonging and creates opportunities for each person to contribute their experiences, skills, and knowledge.

One of the projects pillars will be hands-on environmental education. Learning about a seed, planting a tree, tending a garden, discovering a medicinal plant, or understanding the importance of water and soil are experiences that can transform learning into concrete actions. In this way, the project seeks to unite education, culture, and social action.

The project may also contribute to social inclusion and the creation of new opportunities, particularly through workshops, training sessions, and activities that foster practical skills, creativity, entrepreneurship, and income generation. The knowledge gained could pave the way for community initiatives and the development of products and services related to sustainability.

Valuing medicinal plants and traditional knowledge will play a significant role in the project. The goal is to preserve cultural wisdom, promote biodiversity education, and encourage the responsible use of natural resources—always distinguishing traditional knowledge from scientific evidence and respecting the guidelines necessary for the safe use of plants.

Another key focus will be valuing trees and Brazilian biodiversity. Planting and caring for native species can contribute to site restoration, landscape improvement, soil protection, attracting pollinators, and creating environments that better support wildlife. Each sapling planted represents an opportunity for learning and a commitment to future generations.

The initiative aims to establish partnerships with schools, municipalities, social organizations, educational institutions, businesses, community associations, and other entities committed to sustainable development, thereby expanding the reach of its activities and strengthening a cooperative network.
