The medicinal use of sen (*Senna alexandrina*) focuses on short-term relief from occasional strain. Its fruits and fruits contain senoxides, which act as a natural laxative to stimulate intestinal movements and increase the volume of cells. The effect appears between 8 and 12 hours after consumption.
